Welcome to Sittingbourne Baptist Church Website

The Contact Centre

A place for children separated from a parent

The Contact Centre provides a safe environment for the children of separated parents to meet with the parent or other members of their family who they would not normally see. This offers ample opportunity to play together or just see each other.

The Church provides trained staff who have been subject to Police vetting procedures and all have a current DBS.

The church provides four large rooms for the use of the families. All staff are volunteers who freely give of their time.

There is no charge for use of the Centre except a one off admin fee of £10. Once the fee and a completed referral form have been received a date for contact to start is offered.

Refreshments are provided free. Referral to the Centre is normally via Solicitors, by Court Order or Social Services using our standard referral form.

Self Referrals

Self Referrals are accepted but both parties will need to have a short interview with the centre coordinator.

This can be done via telephone if distance is a problem.

Provision & Limitation

The Centre provides “supported contact” only. All information is treated in a strictly confidential manner.
