Ladies Afternoon Tea – Report

Our first ladies afternoon tea was a great success. We had good food, fun and fellowship and a pleasant afternoon was spent by all. The only thing that was missing were the hats!!!!

About 40 Ladies from the church turned out last Tuesday afternoon for the Afternoon Tea. We were all amazed at the beauty of the decorated tables adorned with pretty table clothes, delightful little tea cups and saucers, matching plates and dainty flowers with a personal scripture attached for each person.

We began with prayer and the scripture above was read out to us. We all felt truly special as we were invited to tuck into the delicious assortment of home made sandwiches, cakes, scones and tarts. Truly a feast prepared and fit for a princess.

Our thanks to Julie Stride & Doris Thomson who had the vision and also to Ann Hughes who helped to prepare the food and to serve us all.

We are hoping to have another one so watch this space. Working ladies watch out!!!!
