Welcome to Sittingbourne Baptist Church Website

A letter from our Minister and Deacons

18 March 2020

Dear Friends,

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that the difficult decision has been taken to close all church activities with immediate effect. This includes all groups who meet on the church premises.

This is in response to the UK government directive to avoid meeting together wherever possible and our obligation to listen to those in authority.

The church will temporarily move to this online platform with a sermons, teaching materials, worship ideas, prayer pointers, as well as regularly updated information all available on this web site. For those with access to Facebook, we will continue to provide updates to our page. The church office telephone will continue to be available although there might be periods of time when we cannot provide cover due to staff unavailability.

Pastoral care will continue via phone calls, while common sense will be applied when it comes to making any pastoral visits.

Could we also please encourage you to continue to support the church financially by generous giving in these exceptional times, as ministry, all be it in a slightly differing form, continues to need resourcing.

We would appreciate your patience in these unprecedented times, and although we are physically separated from one another, we rejoice in the fact that “nothing can separate us from the love of God which is ours in Christ Jesus.”

Yours in Christ – Chris (Minister), Nathan (Minister-in-training) & the Deacons.
